NYC Fire Riders
The New York City Fire Riders Motorcycle Club was established On June 26th, 1985
at the quarters of Engine 263, Ladder 117, and the 49 Battalion
in Queens, New York.
The Late Battalion Chief Junius "Lou" Rahn created the group to unite Firefighters, have a good time and promote safe motorcycling.
The original group consisted of 16 members. Today the number has grown to over 200 members.
The New York City Fire Riders Motorcycle Club is the FIRST & ONLY FDNY Motorcycle Club recognized as a "Fraternal Organization" within the
UNIFORMED FIREFIGHTERS ASSOCIATION & UNIFORMED FIRE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION.
Since 1987 we have been affiliated with The Red Knights International Motorcycle Club,
starting a Chapter known as Region 1, New York City.
In 1989, the New York City Fire Riders Motorcycle Club grew by starting a Chapter in Nassau County.
After September 11th., the Wind & Fire International Motorcycle Club had established us
as a Chapter in their organization as #102 New York City,
as a show of solidarity and camaraderie for our fallen brothers.
These affiliations present us with many opportunities to travel across the United States and into Canada
to fellowship within the Brotherhood of Firefighters.
To this day, our relationships within the motorcycle community
and other Firefighting organizations around the country continue to grow.
The New York City Fire Riders Motorcycle Club are a non-profit organization who raise money and support organizations
within the FDNY, U.S. MILITARY, and many other charities.
